Who we are

Yoorana Gunya’s primary health care team is supported by General Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and visiting allied health including: Dietician, Cardiologist, Gastroenterologist, Podiatrist, Audiologist and Optometrist. Mental health support are provided internally by a Mental Health Nurse, Psychologist and Psychiatrist however clients are regularly referred to Psychology and Psychiatry.

Yoorana Gunya provides various programs and evidence-based health promotion activities to the Aboriginal community to improve their physical, social and emotional wellbeing. Community Support workers are available to support our Aboriginal people and their families including Family Support Workers, Social and Emotional Wellbeing Workers (SEWB), Integrated Team Care (ITC) and a Children’s Wellbeing Worker.

Yoorana Gunya is committed to ensuring the Aboriginal family kinship unit is spiritually and culturally maintained in a suitable environment that is psychologically and physically healthy and content. Yoorana Gunya works holistically with Aboriginal families and individuals to address all issues relating to health and wellbeing.
