Yoorana Gunya Family Healing Centre Aboriginal Corporation (Yoorana Gunya/YG) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service.
Yoorana Gunya means ‘Loving Home’ in Wiradjuri. Yoorana Gunya is proud to offer high quality medical services, mental health support, family wellbeing and allied health to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.
Yoorana Gunya is dedicated to providing culturally safe, holistic healthcare and wellbeing services for the Aboriginal community.
Our primary healthcare team is supported by General Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Aboriginal Health Practitioners, ensuring comprehensive and culturally responsive care. Mental health and wellbeing services are delivered by our Mental Health Nurse, Psychologist, and Psychiatrist, supporting individuals and families across all stages of life.
Yoorana Gunya also provides access to visiting allied health professionals and specialist services, including Dietetics, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Podiatry, Audiology, and Optometry.
We are committed to improving the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of our community through holistic wrap-around support, targeted programs, and evidence-based health promotion activities. Our Community Support Workers provide assistance to Aboriginal people and their families through a range of services, including Family Support, Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB), Integrated Team Care (ITC), Family Violence support, and Children’s Wellbeing programs.
We are committed to ensuring the family kinship unit is spiritually and culturally maintained in a suitable environment that is psychologically and physically healthy and content.
